WHAT WE BELIEVE
'Click' here to read; Introducing Christian Church
We believe that every person is to live, preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ as He has commanded and is recorded in the New Testament.
believe in one God, a Spiritual being, existing in three separate persons: God
the Father; God the Son and God the Holy
Spirit. We believe that God the Father
is seated on His throne in heaven. We believe in God the Son, the Lord Jesus
Christ, the only begotten Son of the Father conceived by the Holy Spirit born of
the virgin Mary, crucified, buried, raised from the dead by God the Holy Spirit,
taken up into heaven, now seated at the right hand of God the Father to
intercede for us. We believe in God the Holy Spirit, the third Person in the
Godhead, who was and who is and will be forever. We believe
that God the Holy Spirit is omni - present, all over.
believe that the Bible we have today, the Old and New Testament, which was
written by the children of God the Father and inspired by God the Holy Spirit,
must be a guide to live a holy and honest life. We believe that it is very
important to read and study the
correct translation of the Bible. We believe that the
Word of God is in the contents of the Scriptures and that the pages and the
physical book is not the 'word of God'. We know that God had dispensational
dealings with all people from the creation of this world. From Adam and Eve to
the flood, the time of conscience; From the flood to the cross of Calvary, the
time of the law, man could not fulfil the law so Christ came to fulfil the law;
From Calvary to the day that we are living in now, the time of grace, we do not
live by the ten commandments and the law of Moses, Christ said John the Baptist
was the end of the Law of Moses and the Prophets.
church building is not the house of God, we are the house of God. We believe
that all the born again Christians over the world, irrespective of from what
nation, colour or language form part of the Body of Jesus Christ, the Church of
which He is the head and the cornerstone. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the
overseer of the church and the gifts of the Holy Spirit will operate through the
church in the gathering of the saints to edify the body of Jesus Christ, 1
Corinthians 14:26 - 40.
REPENTANCE AND THE NEW BIRTH:
believe in repentance from the wrong doings in God's eyes and that a person must
repent, accept Jesus Christ as his/her personal saviour, John 1:12,13.
Repentance is man's decision, the new birth is the working of the Holy Spirit.
We do not believe in eternal security as some of the denominations preach; once
saved always saved. Man is a free moral agent. We also do not believe in
predestination as some denominations do, we believe it is man's own decision,
life or death. We do accept that God is pre - aware of manís decision.
believe that a person must believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ, repent, accept
Jesus Christ and then be baptised by single immersion in water, in the name of
God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Water
baptism symbolises a burial, Romans 6:4. Water baptism is one of the sacraments
of Jesus Christ; something that Jesus instituted.
THE BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND SPEAKING WITH OTHER TONGUES:
believe and accept the doctrine of the baptism with the Holy Spirit and the
speaking in tongues as described in the Scriptures, Acts 2:4; Acts 2:38; Acts
4:31; Acts 9:17; Acts 10:44; Acts 19:1 - 6 and 1 Corinthians 12:10.
THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:
believe and accept the doctrine of the nine Gifts of the Holy Spirit as
described in the Scriptures in 1 Corinthians 12:1 - 11. We also see the fruit of
the Holy Spirit as important, Galatians 5:22.
believe and accept the doctrine of Holy Communion as described in the Scriptures
in 1 Corinthians 11:23 - 34; Matthew 26:26 - 29; Mark 14:22 - 24. Holy Communion
is one of the sacraments of Jesus Christ.
THE FIVE FOLD MINISTRY:
believe and accept the doctrine of the five fold ministry as described in the
Scriptures in Ephesians 4:7 - 16 and 1 Corinthians 12:27 - 31.
LIFE AFTER DEATH:
believe that man is also a spiritual being and will live forever as described in
the Scriptures in Hebrews 9:27; Luke 8:53 - 55 and 2 Corinthians 5:1 - 10.
THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH:
believed that the Church, the body of Christ will be raptured as described in
the Scriptures in 1 Thessalonians 4:13 - 18; 1 Corinthians 15:50 - 53 and Luke
21:34 - 36. The rapture will take place before the great tribulation will start
THE GREAT TRIBULATION:
believe that the great tribulation will take place after the rapture of the
Church and it is God the Father's dealings with the Jews, as not one of them
entered into the promise land in the Old Testament they will have to go through
the great tribulation for not accepting Jesus Christ as the Messiah. There will
be 144,000 'sealed' ones.
THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST:
believe that Jesus Christ will come back to this earth after the great
tribulation to release the Jews and to set up His Kingdom on earth and to reign
with all the believers for a thousand years.
believe in the millennium reign of Jesus Christ as described in the Scriptures
in Revelation 20:4,5. This period will be after the Second Coming of Jesus
Christ with all the saints and the battle of Armageddon.
believe that Heaven is a place like the earth in the third heavens or
stratosphere where God the Father, Jesus Christ and all the heavenly beings
believe that Hell is a real place like the earth, that God the Father has
prepared for Satan and His followers and all the un - Godly. Hell is a place
where fire is not quenched and it will burn forever. We include the five facets
from Hel up - to the lake of fire.
believe that one has to give financial support where he/she fellowships. We do
not teach and preach tithing. If tithing was that important why did Jesus or any
of the New Testament followers not preach tithing? Tithing was not measured in
money but spices anyway. Tithing was before and become law for the Jews to
provide for the Priests of the Old Testament dispensation, Hebrews 7:1 - 18. We
believe what the New Testament teaches, "So let each one gives as he
purposes in his heart".
believe in the existence of Satan as a real being or person, originally a
created angelic being, who as a result of his transgression was cast down from
the presence of God the Father and is now God's enemy and that of all believers.
We also know that the precious blood of Jesus Christ overcame Satan.
