BIBLE STUDY - FAITH WITHOUT WORKS.

Faith without works is what we refer to as mental faith. Faith that is all in the mind. People like that accepted Jesus Christ and then they sit back and only do something that will suit them. They do not want to get involved, they will pray for others that must take the responsibility, but not for me, thank you, Jesus will understand one day. Faith in action will work for others but not for me, 'O Lord, o no! not for me'. My friend have I got a surprise for you.

THERE ARE ALWAYS THREE GROUPS OF PEOPLE:

1. Those who will make things happen.

2. Those who will always wonder what will happen.

3. Those who will always sit and watch what will happen.

Thousands of Christians have mental faith in God, in what the Bible teach but they keep neglecting the definite action of obeying the truth. They will believe that God is able, that He has promised to do certain things, and o yes He will if true faith is exercised, but there is little effort put forth to co - operate with God or to get what he has promised.

Mental faith is the kind of faith that will turn to any source of help but God, and at the same time maintain that it does believe in God and all His promises. It is like believing food is healthy for the body without ever eating to have the benefits from it. Such faith is one of the most dangerous enemies of the true faith in God.

We read about mental faith in James 2:14 - 26. This is faith without works. Mental faith is similar to historical faith, it believes in the history of God and the Bible but goes further and believes as well as al the truths about the blessings of God, but does not act upon the promises of God. Thousands of people have mental faith in God and the Bible, but they keep neglecting the definite action of obeying the truth. Such people will believe that God is able, that He has promised to do certain things, and that He would, if true faith were exercised, but there is little effort put forth to co - operate with God or to get what He has promised. Satan has this faith see verse 19.
